Holiday Packing Edition
Whether you’re travelling overseas or going for a quick weekend away, packing really doesn’t have to be stressful. This month I'm sharing the tips and tricks I've picked up along the way to make holiday prep feel easy and even a little exciting, so you can spend less time worrying about what you've forgotten and more time counting down the days until you leave!
Inside this issue, you'll find a reusable Packing List you can print out or save in your Notes app on your phone. Simply tick off each item once it's actually in your bag and ready to go, or mark anything that doesn't apply to this trip, like your passport, which is non-negotiable for international travel but not for a local beach weekend!
Let's make packing the easiest part of your holiday.
Travel Tip of the Month: Make packing easy

Here's something you have to try - create a dedicated "travel stash" at home. Stock it with travel-sized toiletries, packing cubes, international plug adapters, reusable bags, and any other go-to travel essentials. Keeping everything together in one spot means no last-minute supermarket dashes and no buying things you already own somewhere in the house!
I keep a toiletry bag packed and ready to go at all times. I restock it when I get home from a trip, while everything is fresh in my mind. I swap out the toothbrush, replace anything running low, like deodorant - and just like that, it's ready for next time. When the next trip comes around, it goes straight into the suitcase. Done!
Something That Made Life Easier
The Sudoku Packing Method
Packing will never be the same after this one, I promise! The Sudoku Packing Method is perfect for work trips or any time you want to travel light without sacrificing options. Just 9 pieces of clothing - and you'll have 27 different outfits to choose from.
Here's what you need: 3 tops, 3 bottoms, and 3 layers.
Arrange them in this grid:
Top | Layer | Bottom |
Bottom | Top | Layer |
Layer | Bottom | Top |
Mix and match by choosing any row, any column, or a diagonal, and every combination works as a complete outfit. It's like magic, but make it fashion.
Your Ultimate Travel Packing List
I've put together a reusable packing list that covers all the essentials - and a few things you might not think of until you're already at the airport! Download the PDF below, print it out or keep it on your phone, and you'll never leave home without something important again.
Once you've got your list, copy your essentials into your phone's Notes app so it's always there when you need it. Pro tip for iPhone users: tap the checklist icon (the little circle with a tick) to turn your list into an interactive checklist. Tick items off as you pack, and they'll automatically uncheck themselves ready for your next trip.

Hack I Wish I’d Known Sooner

No more returning home to sad, droopy plants
No more coming home to sad, droopy plants! Fill a zip-lock bag with water, seal it up, and use a pin to make a tiny prick in one corner. Place it over the soil with the hole facing down, and it will slowly drip-feed your plant the while you're away. Perfect for shorter trips!
Smart Packing
The Dirty Laundry Trick
Pack a medium-sized roll-up compression bag in your suitcase before you leave, and use it as your dedicated dirty laundry bag throughout your trip. Toss worn clothes in as you go, zip it up, and compress it down. It keeps any smells contained and away from your clean clothes, and the compression means it takes up a fraction of the space of a regular laundry bag. By the time you're heading home, your suitcase stays just as organised as when you packed it.
