Clean Tip of the Month: The Mini Reset

The 10-Minute Evening Reset
Before you head to bed tonight, set a timer for just 10 minutes and do a quick sweep of your main living spaces. Put away items that migrated during the day, wipe down kitchen counters, fluff the couch cushions, and straighten the throw blankets. You'll wake up to a calm, ordered space that sets a peaceful tone for your morning. This simple habit compounds, each evening's small effort means you're never starting from chaos.
Something That Made Life Easier

Everything Needs a Home
The best change we’ve made in our house has been giving every item a designated spot. Keys go in the bowl by the door, not "somewhere on the counter." Mail goes in the sorting tray, not on the kitchen bench. Once everything has a home, we follow one golden rule: "Don't put it down, put it away." It takes the same amount of energy to put something in its proper place as it does to set it down randomly, but one choice leads to calm, the other to clutter. Start with just one category (shoes, mail, kids' backpacks) and build from there.

Hack I Wish I’d Known Sooner
The One-Surface Rule
Clear one surface completely every single day. Just one, a kitchen counter, the dining table, your nightstand, the coffee table. Make it spotless and keep it that way for 24 hours. This creates an instant visual win that motivates you to tackle more. There's something powerful about seeing one completely clear, clean space in your home. It proves that order is possible and gives your eyes (and mind) a place to rest. Start small, build momentum.

Simple Recipes that make home feel even better
Mongolian Ground Beef

This is my go-to when I don't have time to think about dinner. It's so tasty, healthy, and everyone loves it. Once you have the sauces, they're always waiting in the pantry, and I just grab the ground beef, shallots, and broccoli in my weekly shop and always have this meal up my sleeve.
For the source mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp chilli oil, ½ cup chicken stock in a bowl
Stir fry 500g minced beef in a hot wok with 1 tbsp hot oil, remove when still pink, don’t overcook it.
Stir fry 1 bunch of chopped broccolini for 2 minutes, add 3 chopped stalks of green shallots, 5 cloves garlic, ½ chopped onion, 1 tbsp chopped chillies and 3 tbsp ginger for 3 minutes.
Pour in your sauce and cook for 2 minutes, add beef, stir well.
Mix 1 tbsp cornflour with 1 tbsp water in a small bowl, add to wok and let thicken.
Serve on a bowl of rice and top with a squeeze of sriracha if you like some extra spice.
